The President of Jamhuriya University, Eng. Mohamed Ahmed Mohamud, officially inaugurated the Entrepreneurs and Professionals Summit: Awards and Expo, where he outlined the driving vision behind the establishment of the Jamhuriya Incubation Center (JIC).
“The JIC was founded to equip Somali youth with practical, market-relevant skills and to facilitate their transition into the workforce by providing them with access to employment opportunities aligned with the competencies they acquire. Moreover, the center plays a crucial role in fostering entrepreneurship by assisting young people in starting their own businesses.”
During his speech at the Entrepreneurs and Professionals Summit: Awards and Expo, the President emphasized the critical importance of supporting the next generation of Somali entrepreneurs and professionals. He called on government institutions, international organisations, and banks to actively engage in equipping Somali youth with the essential skills they need to thrive in the modern economy. He stressed the importance of backing their innovative ideas and providing them with the necessary resources to bring their entrepreneurial visions to life.
Eng. Mohamed Ahmed Mohamud concluded by urging all stakeholders to collaborate in creating a nurturing environment where Somali youth can fully realize their potential, contributing to the country’s economic growth and development.
